Making Strides against Breast Cancer 2025

On October 3rd, 2025, our John D. O’Bryant NJROTC Cadets took part in volunteering for preparing the 3 to 5-mile non-competitive walks to bring awareness and end breast cancer. This campaign organized by American Cancer Society helps raise money for those diagnosed with breast cancer, bringing active support into our community. These annual walks are often held in October, in many cities across the United States, supporting those who have survived the disease, lost lives to the disease, and the caretakers who work so hard in providing help to fight against the disease. Anyone is allowed to participate in this event, and we are incredibly thankful for everyone who showed up to walk miles, raising awareness to people all around the United States. We are also incredibly proud of our NJROTC cadets who helped prepare the raising awareness process simply by organizing a few boxes of merchandise and blowing up pink balloons. Thousands of people lose their lives from breast cancer annually, and it's important to remember to provide support to them, even if it means just a friendly hug.
