Karissa Jean Michel

(Operations Officer)

As the Operations Officer of my ROTC unit, I am responsible for planning events, organizing fundraisers, and ensuring that activities and celebrations run smoothly. In many ways, I serve as the foundation of the unit when it comes to keeping everything connected and active. I’ve been at my school for three years, and I’ve proudly been part of the ROTC program for just as long. One of my biggest goals this year is to make it a memorable one for all cadets and create opportunities for everyone to feel involved and proud to be part of the unit. My strengths as a cadet include my ability to take constructive feedback, step up as a leader when needed, and carry out my responsibilities in a professional way that sets a positive example for others. However, I also recognize my weaknesses. I sometimes doubt myself when there’s no reason to, second-guess my actions, and hesitate to speak my mind. I’m still working on being more open and confident within the unit. Despite that, I’m always striving to grow and give my best. A fun fact about me is that I can cook, nothing too fancy, but it’s something I enjoy doing.
Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns at kjeanmichel3@bostonk12.org
