LCDR Lancaster

LCDR Lancaster hails from Las Vegas, NV where he enlisted in the Navy in 1999. After graduating from PN “A” school, he reported to USS FIFE (DD 991) out of Everett, WA. Upon decommissioning he transferred to USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) in Newport News, VA. He was then chosen to be the FLEET FORCES COMMAND Flag Driver. After only 4 months he was selected for the Seaman-to-Admiral Program.


Upon graduation from the University of Maryland with a BA in History, he reported as Communications Officer and then as Navigator onboard USS REUBEN JAMES (FFG 57) out of Pearl Harbor, HI. Following this assignment, he went on to help create the Surface Navigator School which he then taught as lead instructor for the first 19 iterations in Newport, RI. During this time, he attained his M.A. in Homeland Security from American Military University.


Upon graduation from Department Head School, he reported to USS DEVASTATOR (MCM 6) in Bahrain as the Chief Engineer. Remaining in Bahrain, he became the Exercise Planner for COMDESRON 50 and then the Fleet Command Center Director at COMNAVCENT. After 4 ½ years in Bahrain, he then reported to the U.S. Naval War College as a member of the Assist and Assess Team under the College of Maritime Operational Warfare.
He retired in August of 2023 after 24 years of service and joined the NJROTC team in August 2023 as the SNSI at the John D. O’Bryant High School located in Boston, MA.
