Malachi Sonderegger (Company Senior Chief)
My name is Malachi Sonderegger,

I am a rising NS2 and a Cadet Senior Chief Petty Officer serving as the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science NJROTC unit’s Senior Chief. In NJROTC and school I strive to be the voice of reason and hear everyone's opinion before I act on the group's behalf. I value the diversity of opinions that arise in group settings and am attentive to everyone's concerns. As the Senior Chief, my job is to be the bridge between the CoC, which consists of mostly senior cadets, and the rest of the unit. As Senior Chief I also facilitate the tests and training for Cadets ranking up.

I feel this position matches my personal skills of team collaboration and ability to connect with people. I will keep my department operating smoothly by ensuring the cadets know me and can go to me with all their concerns as well as knowing the importance of ranking up when the time arises. I plan to also reward cadets who choose to rank up to Cadet Chief Petty Officer with a celebration to acknowledge their achievements and devotion to the unit.
