

Veterans Day Luncheon
On November 10th, 2025, four of our handpicked cadets and Chief Barros from the John D. O’Bryant School had the honor to attend the Veterans Day Luncheon hosted at Wm E. Carter American Legion Post#16. Ten of our O’Bryant Girl Scouts also accompanied us on this luncheon and wrote over 55 letters to Veterans. Orienteering Field Trip
On November 8th, 2025, our John D. O’Bryant NJROTC Orienteering team went out yet again on their last orienteering field trip of the fall at Pine Bluff Recreational Area. After conquering two orienteering trips in two weeks back to back, the cadets returned sharper with their navigation skills and stronger in teamwork. On November 2nd, 2025, our John D. O’Bryant’s Orienteering team of NJROTC cadets, along with the Madison Park MCJROTC, conquered the orientation paths organized by the New England Orienteering Club at F. Gilbert Hills State Forest. Orientation Field Trip 2025
On October 19th, 2025, our Orienteering team of cadets conquered through the woods of Camp NEOC (New England Orienteering Club). By using only a compass and a map, cadets were able to persevere through the woodsy terrain and obtain each checkpoint. Roslindale Parade 2025
On October 5th, 2025, our John D. O’Bryant NJROTC Cadets joined the Madison Park Marine Corps JROTC Cadets in marching for the annual Roslindale Day Parade. The parade showcases the community’s diversity in local businesses, bands, and organizations as they march through the streets. Making Strides against Breast Cancer 2025
On October 3rd, 2025, our John D. O’Bryant NJROTC Cadets took part in volunteering for preparing the 3 to 5-mile non-competitive walks to bring awareness and end breast cancer. This campaign organized by American Cancer Society helps raise money for those diagnosed with breast cancer, bringing active support into our community. 9/11 Field Trip 2025
On September 11th, 2025, a handful of cadets from our John D. O’Bryant NJROTC Unit were honored to have participated in the 9/11 Commemoration Event at the Massachusetts State House. A truly tragic terrorist attack occurred on this day twenty-four years ago, where more than 3,000 innocent lives were lost. Memorial Flag Display 2025
On Monday, May 19th 2025, The O'Bryant NJROTC unit was honored to participate in our annual Memorial Flag Display Field Trip, taking place at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery and New Calvary Cemetery. This long-standing tradition, which occurs around the month of Memorial Day, is where we are able to create a memorable moment together as a unit to conduct such a meaningful task.
