Isaiah Antoine

Being a department head is truly one of the most favorable parts of being in NJROTC for me. I am the one and only Cadet Ensign (C/ENS) Antoine, Isaiah. I am the head of the Educational Services Department, which is also the newest department to be officially added into the unit. I’ve been in the program since I started high school, and I’m currently a Junior, which would mark this as my NS3 year. I became a department head for the first Lieutenant department towards the end of my NS1 year, held the position throughout my NS2 year, and after a month into my NS3 year, upgraded to the new Educational Services department. Over the summer I took online child care and mental health development classes with a goal of becoming a social worker in the future, so being in a department designed to help with the overall mental wellbeing of the unit was a perfect match for me. I get the opportunity to try and make everyone’s week amazing, and end the week with a weekly check-up google form posted every Friday to see where the temperature of the unit is by the week. Not to brag or anything but my main vision in this unit is seeing everyone succeed, and I have a serious case of “I love to help” disease where I always find myself going out of my way to help get tasks done and keep everyone motivated.
